|  | My team and I went on an overnight getaway to Bantayan Island Cebu in February 2005.
Backpacking is the way! Its more enjoyable! We stayed at Fairview Lodge for Php 500 a night for all of us. The we paid day tour trips to Ogtong Cave Resort for 2 days for Php 30 per day per person.
I remember a story when we were getting ready for the beach. Everybody put on their sunscreen, pair of sunglasses, the works and we end up inside the fresh water cave inside the resort. Talk about sunlight there!
How to get there? Take a 3 hour bus trip up north from the North Bus Terminal in Cebu. Alight at Hagnaya, take a 45 min boat ride to Santa Fe, Bantayan Island then just contract with a local to take you to Ogtong Cave Resort. The 1st boat trip to the island is at 9am, last one is at 2:30pm.
